Field Day

This shirt caught my eye immediately as I entered a small boutique in Mebane, NC. This is a shirt that I will save for my daughter to check out once she is a teenager. More than likely she'll think I'm crazy but artsy pieces like this are worth the try :) ..just a taste to my eclectic wardrobe.

Growth

It seems like just yesterday when we brought Maddie home. She has grown so fast throughout the past couple of weeks.
Her personality is starting to shine as she becomes more familiar with her surroundings. I absolutely love capturing it on my instagram, so I wanted to share some photos!

Vintage Jane

I love everything vintage!

With a store name of Vintage Jane, I knew I wouldn't be able to walk out with empty hands. This little store in Kernersville, NC has such a fun set up that is filled with character and creativity. I can't count the number of times that I walked around the store, only to find new things I liked each lap.

This camera was made in the 60's and is going to add a piece of my love for photography to my livingroom display.

Cedarock Park

Today I worked on my first photography project for the Art Institute! I took the pictures at Cedarock Park in Burlington, North Carolina.

These are my favorite two pictures:

Walking To The Music

Today I was able to spend some time in downtown Greensboro, NC to get a fresh cut&color at Bliss&Co!
Bliss is my favorite hair salon by far. I'm an emotional consumer who decides where I spend my money mostly based on the connection that I have with the people who work there, but it helps that they are extremely talented as well. I have never left the salon feeling disappointed or wishing for something different!

With my sassy new hairdo, I walked out of the salon doors and began to feel myself walking to the beat of live music playing near by. It's a feeling that I tend to get.. you know, the feeling where you picture yourself as a main character in a scene from a movie.

As I'm walking to my car to head back home to Mebane, I see the person playing the music that I had been walking to.

I asked: How long have you been playing?
He replied: 22 years, you would think I'd be better by now.

To be honest, although I do not know much about his instrument, he sounded great to me. His music was truly generated by soul and I could see his passion for it written all over his face.
The artists that I admire the most are the ones with true passion.

The Elegant Relic

One day last week I decided to go out and search the town seeing as how I have lived here for over a month. I found this little shop in downtown Mebane, NC.
Love the atmosphere that it creates!

& as I was trying on different outfits, this little guy named Frank kept me company. He is the best shopping buddy you could ask for :)
